How we handle what you tell us when you prequalify and schedule a checkride. Effective 20 September 2026.

Who we are

NWA DPE is Josh Jones, an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner in Northwest Arkansas. This site is how applicants prequalify for a practical test and book a date. Questions about this page go to info@nwadpe.com.

What we collect

Only what the practical test requires, and only what you type in:

The date the application was submitted is recorded automatically. We do not collect payment details on this site, and we never ask for a Social Security number. Please do not enter one anywhere on the form.

Why we use it

Who sees it

The examiner. Your instructor receives the readiness request two days before the test and, if your application needs corrections, a copy of the list of items to fix. Our service providers store or carry the data on our behalf: Supabase for the database, Google Workspace for documents, calendar and email, and Railway for hosting. Nobody else, and we never sell or share your information for advertising.

Where it lives

Applications are stored in a hosted database and the examiner's documents in his Google Workspace account (Drive, Calendar and Gmail). Both are encrypted in storage and in transit; this site is served only over HTTPS. While you fill in the form, your answers are also saved in your own browser so you can leave and come back; that copy never leaves your device until you submit, and it is cleared from your browser when you do. On a shared computer, use Reset Application on the last step if you leave without submitting. Our host keeps standard request logs (IP address, time and page) for security.

Cookies

One cookie, set when you open a form, records which checkride and airport you chose so the application can't be altered in transit. It is not used to track you. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site, so there is nothing to consent to. The page fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

How long we keep it

We keep your application and packet only as long as the examiner needs them to answer questions about your test: normally no more than two years after the test date, or one year if no test is ever scheduled. Deletion is done by hand at present, so email info@nwadpe.com if you want yours removed sooner.

Your choices

Email info@nwadpe.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Deleting an application before the test means we can't hold the date.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
